1. Huge amount of cash wasn’t found at Jonathan’s residence – Omokri

Reno Omokri, ex-aide of former President Goodluck Jonathan,has said that money wasn’t found at the former presidents house.

This he said while reacting to a viral video allegedly showing a raid of the former presidents’ house, in which huge amounts of money were found.

2. We won’t join issues with former president Obasanjo – Presidency

The Presidency has said that President Muhammadu Buhari will not join issues with his predecessor, former President Olusegun Obasanjo on the assessment of his administration as a failure.

Special Adviser to President Buhari on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, noted their is nothing new in what Chief Obasanjo said.

3. Policemen Feared Dead As Gunmen Attack Police Station

Two policemen are feared dead after gunmen, stormed the police station at Gegu village on Lokoja–Abuja road.

According to William Aya, spokesman of the Kogi state police command, two officers lost their lives in the attack by armed bandits.

4. Melaye tells APC to stop blaming past administrations

Senator Dino Melaye, the senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district on the floor of the upper house of the National Assembly, has called on the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to stop the blame game and start building the nation.

5. EFCC invites Okonjo-Iweala over $500m Abacha loot

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has summoned former finance minister, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for questioning in connection to the disposition of $500m of Abacha loot recovered.

She is expected to clarify how the money was spent.

6. Gov. Bello of Kogi state seen in crutches at the Aso Villa

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state, was yesterday sighted in crutches at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja when arriving for the meeting of APC governors with President Buhari.

The governor reportedly missed his footing while alighting from his vehicle during the Easter break.

7. Governors meeting with Buhari ends in deadlock

The attempt by President Muhammadu Buhari and governors elected on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) to resolve the lingering disagreements over the tenure extension for APC executives, ended in a stalemate at the State House Tuesday.

Both sides failed to reach an agreement over the fate of the National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.

8. Police to re-arrest Senator Dino Melaye

The Nigeria Police Force said it would arraign Sen. Dino Melaye and the four suspects re-arrested for alleged conspiracy and unlawful possession of prohibited firearms at the Federal High Court in Lokoja, Kogi on May 10.

Force Spokesman, ACP Jimoh Moshood, who made the disclosure while briefing newsmen on the arrest of four of the six suspects on Tuesday in Abuja, said two of the suspects were still at large.

9. Winnie Mandela to be given state burial

Winnie Mandela, wife of former South African President, Nelson Mandela, would be given a state burial by the South African government.

Winnie died on Tuesday at the age of 81.
