AOD Foundation, a brainchild of Dr Aderonke Dairo, decided to donate some essential medical materials to the community Health Centre at Oke Adu in Ibadan on the 5th of September, 2021. The gesture was made in furtherance to the core belief of the foundation that a sound health is of great value to community and everyone must all ensure to contribute a meaningful quota to this sector no matter how little.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Aderonke Dairo said “I also feel obliged to continue to do this considering so many loved ones we lose too frequently. I witnessed an associate lose a loved one as recently as last week and I was moved to tears that all these can actually be avoided if we all put a premium to healthcare. This is not only the work of the government in power, we all must show concern”
She enjoined all and sundry to take up this challenge and assist in reaching out to our Health Centres with donation of drugs and equipment. “We are all the ones that will benefit eventually from this good gesture.” She concluded.
Some of the items distributed includes weighing scale, gloves, syringes, plastic chairs, nose masks, various drugs, hydrogen peroxide etc. She was shown round the clinic along with her team (entourage) by the Chief Matron and while at it, took note of the various challenges and needs of the centre whilst pledging continued support in terms of drugs and equipment. She also met with few patients on admission and wished them all quick recovery.
Dr. Aderonke Omo Dairo is a medical practitioner and politician whose influence has continued to touch lives in her locality. She conceptualised the “APC 2023: What’s the way Forward in Oyo State” symposium, where various party big wigs in the state came under a roof to discuss the future of the party. She is currently the front runner for House of Assembly position in IBNE 2 LG.
