2019 Election: I will contest for presidential position if Buhari does not – Sen Yerima

A former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Ahmed Sani Yerima has declared that he would contest the 2019 Presidential election if PMB fails to seek re-election, saying he would be happy if Nigerians endorsed him.

Yerima disclosed this to newsmen on Sunday in Abuja that the declaration was not against his support and commitment to President Buhari if he decides to contest in the 2019 election.

Maina Scandal: Presidency speaks on Buhari’s involvement

Mr. Femi Adesina the Special Adviser to PMB  on Media and Publicity says he is not aware if the president was involved in the reinstatement of Abdulrasheed Maina , the former chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team.

It would be recalled that President Buhari ordered the sack of Maina over uproar that he was reinstated into Federal Civil Service after absconding the country for some years over N2bn fraud.

Saudi Prince dies in helicopter crash

A Saudi Prince Mansour bin Muqrin, died on Sunday when the helicopter he was travelling in crashed near the border with Yemen.

Al-Ikhbariya news channel reports that the Prince, who was the deputy governor of Asir province, was travelling with several officials when the helicopter crashed.

Nigerian Army: “Operation Harbin Kunama II” to begin in Zamfara

The Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, has said that a military joint patrol tagged: “Operation Harbin Kunama II” will begin in Zamfara in December as part of plans to completely erradicate terrorists in the area.

The minister revealed the commencement of the exercise while addressing journalists in Gusau on counter-terrorism operations in the country.

We cannot accept the Benue anti-grazing law – Fulani Herdsmen

Garus Gololo, Benue State Coordinator of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, says members of the association cannot accept the state’s anti-grazing law because they were never consulted before it was drawn up.

He also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to appoint an adviser on herdsmen matters, as the implementation of anti-grazing law begins in Benue State.

160 House of Rep members refuse to accept official cars

No fewer than 160 members of the House of Representatives have refused the offer of being provided with official cars.

Reports indicate that the legislators are requesting for the monetary equivalence of the cars.

About N6.1 billion is being used for the procurement of 360 units Peugeot 508 for members, at a unit price of N17 million, for the lawmakers.
