The Nigerian Police Force shared a list of about 18 hot spots for kidnappers in the country, it is not coincidental that Oyo State is not one of them. It’s not luck and coincidence has got nothing to do with it. From a state that had gotten a derogatory nickname from a former president as “A garrison command’ being led by a ‘garrison commander’ due to lawlessness and brigandage being constant in the state.
It has taken nothing short of hard work, zero tolerance to insecurity, and to cap it all, creating an enabling environment for people to work and earn legitimately.
This is a testament to the commitment of the current administration of Governor Ajimobi to the fulfillment of one of his key campaign promises which is also the most important function of any government – safety and security of lives and property.
As the Oyo state government in partnership with key security agencies continues to position the state as a Pace setter in key sectors of the economy, visitors, investors and tourists alike can be sure to carry out their businesses within the most secure environment possible.
